Citat:
The club is in bankruptcy. At the same time, the owner, Agapito Iglesias, is using his own money to buy some players and pay their salary (some of the players, the ones owned by him, not the club). Strange situation when a club is declared bankruptcy and the owner goes around buying new players. Anyway, the owner just cares about the money. He doesn't gives a shit about the club. He wanted his team to get relegated because he could get around 10M from the insurance, and then probably he'd leave the club. So, Zaragoza was sucking all season long. Matchday 28, just 20 to finish, they were the last team with 19 points, they were virtually relegated, they managed to get 19 points over 84. In Spain the relegation area is every year around 40 points, so Zaragoza needed to get 21 points in the last 30. Very very unlikely. Why was the team sucking? Because players were not seeing any money. Why playing well if they don't get money? What seems impossible happened. Zaragoza managed to get 21 points in the last 10, with yet another game to be played. If they win, they are saved and it will be their first time outside relegation zone since match day 14. Why did the players started to play so well? To avoid the owner getting the insurance. If Zaragoza is saved, he sees no money. It's what in spain is called a "japanese strike". Outwork to fuck the owner. |
